The Mentor International Gala 2012

Mentor asked Your Majesty to design their invitation to the Mentor International Gala 2012.

My Role
First I designed a Save the Date card, which would be sent out to the guests a few months before the gala. I designed this as a 4x6 card, printed on both sides, and used the green Mentor color as the primary color. This set the direction for the actual invite which included four different pieces; the invitation, a rsvp card, and two envelopes.

The invitation had a lot of information, so one challenge was to create a nice design where all the elements had their own space. The client wanted a 9x6 envelope to the invitation, that was the only spec. When creating the invitation, I started drawing some outlines for the folds and made mini mock-ups. Mentor liked the idea of opening the invitation to the left and then fold down to view the infomation. I used Adobe Illustrator to create the dielines for all the pieces. The copy would be printed in a silver metallic ink, and to illustrate this I used Photoshop.
