Today I had a meeting with Vivian, co-founder of Tronic, and it was a really good meeting. I wanted o talk to her about my first four weeks and to recap what had been said on my first day. It was kind of a follow-up a’la Hyper Island, and it was really good. I realized that the feedback my classmates and I have been giving each other during the time in Karlskrona really means a lot to me. I wanted the same feedback now. So we talked about what I have done during these weeks, about the communication, and the work flow. It feels great to know what the expectations are, what can be changed and what to think of for the future. Five minutes after the feedback I took on a special task and it felt great. I knew I could do it, I knew she knew I could do it, and I could.
Before I went home today we launched another run. This time for NBC News. So if you are in New York, go to Rockefeller Plaza and download the GoldRun app. This was all celebrated together with our new Monday thing, Martini Monday. All five of us (Austin, Shai, Lucy, Tiffany, and I) went to a bar around the corner and just talked and had a good time.

We just had our final presentation for LOKA. It feels great to show them our work and research. And the response and feedback was really good. In a few week we will know what/how they will use our material.

This is how my portfolio looks like in Beijing. Not cool! I do see what’s wrong, and I made the changes in just a few minutes. So now all is good. I’m happy to have friends all over the world to give me feedback and to let me know how my website is working for them.

Here is the raw feedback my group got from our mentor today when we told him who our second client is: “Astounding opportunity. Dream job. Don’t fuck it up.”
We sure wont!

We had a board meeting today and it was me who asked for it. I received some feedback yesterday regarding the second sendout and the copy on it. I felt that we had three choices of what to do; start over, change it a little, or ignore the feedback. Ignore the feedback wouldn’t be right, and start over would be a question about money as well as pushing a deadline, while changing it a little might be too little. Read more »

I’m so happy. Daniel and I just got an envelope with the material for the big pitch….and our two ideas are in it. How cool is that?!
Today we have done research and though of new ides for another project. This project is also in the beginning stage, as to be pitched for the client. It is really exciting to be included here, to see how they work here at Digital Kitchen. How they prepare for the pitch and how that is a really really important part. This is something I know already, but kinda forget when working on a team at Hyper Island. There we work really hard and we present. But how we present never really get the time it should to be prepared. Something I’ll bring when going back.
Before lunch we met up with Ben again to share the ideas we had and got feedback on them. In the afternoon we wrote it all down and created some visuals for the ideas. We also sat in on a meeting for a another project. This will be pitched in a week, so tomorrow we will see if we can find some ideas for this too.
A lot of working, and we love it.

I started the day with meeting Oskar at Hyper Island, Stockholm at 8am. We talked about the upcoming meeting and gathered some information that we wanted to present. And at 9am the board meeting started where both Oskar and I are representing the two Digital Media classes.
The meeting went really well. It was cool to get so much information about Hyper Island from a totally different perspective and I feel like the others at the meeting felt the same way when Oskar and I talked through our perspective. The meeting went on for three hours, but it really didn’t feel that way. It was always a discussion and everyone got to say what was on their mind. We also decided that the next meeting will be in February and it will be held in Karlskrona.
In the afternoon I had two more meetings, One with the head of marketing at Hyper Island. We were talking about student business cards, but I’ll get back to that when I have more information to share.
At 3pm I had another meeting. When I was in Stockholm last time for the Experience Technology I talked to a guy at the exhibition. He liked our idea then and I thought to contact him about this project as well. He is working on applications, so that was a perfect match since that is what my group is working on right now. I meet Fredrik and his team and we talked for over an hour and I got so much feedback and plenty of input. I’m super excited about our project now, even though we are changing it a little…
